Mausoleum Interment

Another form of disposition is mausoleum interment. The casket of the deceased is placed in a mausoleum crypt. A mausoleum is a building consisting of many crypts just big enough to accommodate a casket. These crypts are placed one on top of the other and side by side. The opening is covered by a granite or marble crypt front which is lettered with the name and dates of the deceased. Many perpetual care cemeteries have community mausoleums erected on the grounds. This gives people the option of being interred above ground. Memorialization is limited in this situation depending on the rules and regulations of the cemetery; however, many cemeteries will allow memorial pictures or even emblems to be placed on the crypt front. This is very helpful when a family wants to personalize the resting place of a loved one.  At Memorial Pines Cemetery we follow the wishes of the family
